Ina-Garten

Ina Garden is an American writer of cookbooks, who has won Emmy Awards. Ina Garden hosts the oldest Food Network series, Barefoot Contessa. The show premiered in 2002. It will continue to run for 27 more seasons. Ina began her career working with the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget as well as policy documents. She initially loved the intellectual stimulation of working for the White House, but eventually was bored. Instead she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty store for food. The store was very successful throughout the 18 years that she decided to shut it down. After that, she started the first book. Others followed, and so the magazine column. In addition, her Food Network TV show also made its debut and became a massive hit. In addition, she sells a variety of products ranging from cooking supplies to storage and equipment. Ina is an aspiring cook who's never been to the cooking school nor employed in a kitchen. She is known for her simple approach to making food and her unpretentious approach to entertainment. Her name is associated with her simple recipes such as Skillet Grilled Lemon Chicken Macaroni, Cheese and using Beef Bourguignon as well as Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
