Hayley Orantia is American actress, musician and performer. People are most familiar with the character as Erica Goldberg in the comedy The Goldbergs' TV show. She believes that she is a musician first and foremost. According her, is first thing she is passionate about. Her first time playing the instrument at the age of nine. When she was 12 years old, the art of music was taken seriously enough, that she started formal training. At 13, she began creating songs. Her debut album when she was 14. Since then, there's no looking back. Orrantia is of Hispanic roots, however she was born in the USA. Though she's never was a Spanish speaker in Mexico, she still feels strongly proud of her Hispanic culture. She strives to keep it alive by becoming fluent in Spanish and writing songs in the language. "Hasta Verte", a Spanish-language song which she recorded is an example. Orrantia was selected to audition for The X Factor's first season during the summer of 2011. Orrantia was selected as a result of an YouTube video and was awarded four "yes" vote from the judge at the time of live auditions at Seattle, Washington. The first time she auditioned, she was solo but in "Hollywood Week" she was placed together with three female singers to form a trio during the remaining auditions. Live shows were staged in the fifth week.
